Brooklyn College makes is easy for all official student clubs to have their own web page on the Internet.
What you need:
- A computer (PC or Mac) so you can create your own web page files
- A Brooklyn College FTP account to upload your web files.
- A modem or Internet connection so your computer can send your web files to the Brooklyn College computers.
What you have to do:
- If you are an existing BC Club, your FTP account has already been created.
To obtain your account ID & password, the Club President should contact
the ITS Network Group at 718/677-6180 or via e-mail: netgroup@brooklyn.cuny.edu.
Please note that we will have to confirm your status as Club President prior
to any account information being given out.
- If you are a newly formed BC Club, you must complete a Student Club FTP
Application. Please note that FTP accounts will only be provided to
officially chartered Student Clubs at Brooklyn College. To obtain
an application, contact the ITS Network Group at 718/677-6180 or via e-mail:
netgroup@brooklyn.cuny.edu.
After you create your web page, you can use your FTP account to send your files to the Brooklyn College Server. For tips on getting your web page started, click here.
Once your web page is active, please let us know the URL and we will provide a link from the BC Student Organizations Club Directory to your club's web page.
Once uploaded, anyone on the Internet will be able to see your Club page. It's a great way to promote your Club's activities and introduce the world to the active student community here at Brooklyn College. Click here to see how other BC Student Clubs are using the Web.
For Technical Support on FTP or uploading your web files, contact the ITS Network
